Digital transformation in action: our supply chain workshop at NUS

NUS students used Harmonic and custom app to built production kits, scanned parts station by station and watched their own data go live in Harmonic.

HarmonicNUSWorkshopAI Analytics

On 16 October 2026, we brought Harmonic, our AI analytics platform, into the classroom at the National University of Singapore (NUS) for a hands-on “Digitizing the Supply Chain” workshop in the course. Students built production kits, scanned parts station by station, and watched their own data appear in real time. A lecture on digital transformation became something they could touch.

Bringing Harmonic into the classroom

The companies we work with are not short of data. Their challenge is that end-to-end data comes from many different sources and is often fragmented and messy. This workshop showed how to track data from the supplier onward, monitor it in real time, and act on it.

Today's students are tomorrow's analysts and managers. We wanted them to experience that whole loop first-hand, from a part scanned on the line to a dashboard someone can act on.

Here is how the workshop ran:

  1. Build. Students built production kits, working station by station.

  2. Input. At each station they scanned the parts, so every step was captured as data the moment it happened.

  3. See. Their scans showed up in Harmonic in real time, on dashboards built from data they had just created.

  4. Ask. They explored the results with plain-language prompts, turning their questions into charts.

Great feedback from students

The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive.

"Very fun class, surprised we were very efficient, though Harmonic AI really did make data visualisation easier."

"Great session, introduction to the AI Dashboard system was awesome and very useful."

"Something new and interesting to learn about how AI can help digitise and make the data collected interactive and live."

"Absolutely amazing lecture/workshop. Really insightful and feel fortunate to have experienced the reality of future data analysis."

In our speakers' words

Our speakers shared their reflections from the day on LinkedIn.
